CalMac Drives Business Ahead

Really liked this wee campaign from Caledonian Macbrayne who have just launched a fleet of CalMac branded taxis with the familiar livery and lion rampant brand on the streets of Glasgow!

Inside, seats are fitted with adverts featuring inspirational views of the islands we sail to, with rear window stickers adding a quirky finish.

CalMac warned however, "If you find yourself in and around Glasgow city centre this weekend and happen to hail a CalMac cab, beware, you might just be tempted to change your destination and head for the west coast!"

And of course if you do head up the west coast you can always check Scotland's For Me for some great on-line deals!

Welcome Return for Greywalls

After a change of direction as an exclusive-use venue, Greywalls has now reopened as a hotel once again.

One of Scottish golf tourism's most treasured establishments, the hotel opened on 1st May with a new Chez Roux restaurant by Michelin-starred chef, Albert Roux. Situated just thirty minutes from Edinburgh and next to Muirfield golf course, the stylish hotel was designed by Edwardian architect Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1901.

The house offers 23 en suite bedrooms, warm and inviting public areas including a dedicated whisky room and traditional library, elegant walled gardens, two tennis courts, a putting green and a croquet lawn. Twelve golf courses are located within five miles, including Gullane, Luffness, North Berwick, The Renaissance Club and Archerfield.

To celebrate the event Greywalls is offering reduced room rates for new May bookings from just £150 per room per night (based on two people sharing room-only), which are commissionable at 10%. For bookings and further information call Hazel Saunders on +44 (0)1620 842144.
