A Day (and Night) at The Races!

Looking for a short break with a difference? You could do worse than enjoy an overnight stay in Ayrshire ahead of a Day at Ayr Racecourse, Scotland's premier horseracing track.

A full calendar of events takes place across the year - both jumps and flat - and of course it is the home to the Scottish Grand national and the famous Ayr Gold Cup.

The Victor Chandler Raceday on Thursday March 25 is the last fixture before the Coral Scottish Grand National Festival in April and there is a good quality card featuring seven races for almost £45,000 in prizemoney and the action begins at 2.10 pm with a Handicap Chase over two miles five furlongs.
The feature race of the afternoon is a two mile handicap chase at 4.55 pm and then the final race is off at 5.30 pm.After racing a disco will play in the Horseshoe Bar for approximately three hours. Its a single enclosure day with entry costing £15 and gates open at 12.20 pm.Check hotel availability in Ayr.
